Cory Martin used a chip in eagle on the 17th hole Sunday at Gates Four Country Club to pull even with Derek Watson at -3.  A final hole bogey by Watson and a clutch par by Martin gave Martin his first victory of the season on the Coastal Players Tour and third overall.  Conditions were tricky as the winds were swirling on Sunday and the scores reflected it.  Overnight co-leader Chip Collins shot a solid 35 on the front nine to move to -4 and hold a 1 shot lead at the turn.  However, a few short missed putts on the back nine dropped him into a tie with Martin at -1 after 16 holes, two shots behind Watson.  That’s when Martin pulled a little magic out of the bag to put him in a position for the win.  Thanks to all competitors for a great event!  The Tour takes two weeks off before its next event at Legacy Golf Links in Aberdeen, NC, August 19-20.
