Dear Coastal Players Tour Competitors,
We at the Coastal Players Tour take great pride in providing a platform for aspiring professional golfers to develop their games and prepare them for the next level. We feel that we provide a value that is unmatched in the industry and do our best to give all competitors a “tour feel” at our tournaments. Increasing purses and providing top notch venues has been our main focus over the past couple of seasons while we have also expanded the footprint of the Tour to include a much larger area of North and South Carolina. While these efforts have led to some outstanding tournaments with great fields, it has been difficult to sustain the momentum that we had hoped to achieve. This summer has become especially difficult as field sizes have been consistently between 15-24 players. At the end of the day, tournaments of this size are not worthwhile for the Tour or the competitors. We have tried different strategies and have turned to players for feedback and suggestions. Unfortunately, the bottom line at this time is we do not have enough players week in and week out to continue the season. The final three events of the year at Crow Creek, Eagle Ridge and Scotch Hall Preserve will be cancelled and all players already registered will receive a refund. We sincerely appreciate all competitors that have supported us this season and we apologize for this inconvenience. Our mission will be to regroup this offseason and find a way to have larger fields next season so that competitors will have more money to play for. As always, we welcome all feedback and suggestions from our players. This is the only way we will get better in the long run. See you in 2020!
Buddy, Daniel and Patrick
